Expert Training in Literacy and Math
Public schools and districts are investing in ASDEC training for their teachers and specialists.

This fall, over 35 teachers from public schools are training in our online Multisensory Math 1 course (Wappinger Falls, New York and Arlington County, VA). Multiple districts in Massachusetts fund ASDEC courses and the full 10–month practicum for Certification through the Academy of Orton-Gillingham (AOG).
Friendship Public Charter Schools in Washington, DC has invested in the full 2-year Academic Language Training Program for teachers who will be the first in the District to earn national CALT recognition. They plan to expand ASDEC training in 2027 with the ultimate goal of training a CALT at every campus.
ASDEC is entering into year 8 of our ongoing training program in Frederick County Public Schools, MD, where over 280 reading specialists have completed 45 hours of coursework plus a nine-month clinical practicum. An FCPS administrator who earned her CALP through ASDEC stated that no other training program in the county enjoys such a long and successful partnership. The comprehensive training coursework plus coaching from nationally certified Academic Language specialists has helped FCPS improve reading performance for all students. FCPS has shown significant reading gains, placing it in the 97th percentile nationwide.
