For 10 years, ASDEC master teachers have
been delivering the most powerful Orton-Gillingham teaching methods to
students during our summer program. Our elementary students work one
on one with instructors under the guidance of master teachers while
older students work in small groups with senior ASDEC faculty members. |

ASDEC faculty offer mutlisensory solutions to de-mystify Algebra concepts for students struggling to understand linear, quadratic and polynomial functions as well as variables, constants, and coefficients. Faculty use the Concrete to Representational to Abstract Approach which incorporates manipulatives and other concrete strategies to introduce the language of Algebra. By teaching students to master concepts before procedures, teachers help them to move with confidence into purely abstract levels of reasoning required for success in Algebra.
